HAIR REMOVAL & BEAUTY PARLOUR
What is SUGARING?
Sugaring or Persian waxing is a method of hair removal that has been in use since 1900 BC. Sugaring is an all-natural method of hair-removal. Its technique involves the use of sugar paste, typically consists of sugar, water and lemon juice. Because sugar is hypoallergenic, it is safe to use on all skin types.
Unlike wax, the sugar paste attaches to the hair rather than to the skin, making the hair removal process less painful than wax with added advantage of skin nourishment that lemon provides.
There are two main types of sugaring: Traditional and Strip Sugaring.
What is Traditional Sugaring?
Traditional sugaring is done with a room-temperature sugar ball. It is firmly and slowly smeared directly on the skin, where your body heat does the magical thing. The heat melts the sugar making it stick to the hair. Then the sugar is quickly removed along with the hair.
This technique is highly effective for sensitive and small areas. During the application, the sugar is applied against the direction of hair and pulled in the direction of hair growth.
What is Strip Sugaring?
Strip sugaring use the same sugar and lemon paste as traditional, except the sugar is warmed up, and is done with strip and spatula. It provides same results as traditional sugaring.
Compared to traditional sugaring, this is highly effective, much more quicker , especially on larger areas, such as legs, arms, body etc. Because with strip sugaring, the sugar is slightly warmed up, making it softer when it is applied. It eases the discomfort associated with hair pulling or tugging in traditional sugaring.
